Eddie Mitchell
Eddie Mitchell besides being the screenwriter on the projects is also lyricist and song writer of The Pearl Medallion. The screenplay is based on his stage musical The Rose Pearl of Kasumiyma that premiered in 2006. Ray Richmond of The Hollywood Reporter hailed the production as, “The Wizard of Oz for our generation!” In addition to creating the musical, Mitchell also designed the sets, the multi-media projections, produced, and directed the play.
Roy Shakked
Residing in Los Angeles, Roy Shakked spends his time composing music and recording albums out of his cozy Silverlake studio, stacked with vintage recording gear. He also enjoys playing live when he feels the itch.
After graduating Berklee College of Music, where he supported himself by working as a bar pianist and session player, Roy worked as a video game composer in NYC, then an in-house producer for Los Angeles label Delta Music. He later went on to create his own label, Groove Gravy Records. With a series of aliases, including The Tao of Groove, Jazzelicious, and Holmes, he has written and recorded songs and compositions that have been featured on dozens of television shows, including Independent Lens, CSI Miami, Sex and The City, The OC, The Mr. Men, Nip/Tuck, Suburgatory, Gigantic, and Without a Trace, as well as films such as Day Zero, Cross Bronx, Poseidon and The Devil Wears Prada, among others.

Ichiro (Telly Leung)
Teally Leung A veteran of Rent's final Broadway cast, Telly Leung made his Broadway debut in the 2002 revival of Flower Drum Song. He starred in the first Broadway revival of Pacific Overtures in 2004 and originated the role of Boq in the Chicago company of Wicked. Leung was also featured as a member of the Dalton Academy Warblers opposite Darren Criss on the second season of TV’s Glee. He returned to Broadway in the 2011 revival of Godspell.
Misaki (Meilssa Thatcher)
Melissa Thatcher didn't start out intending on being an artist. She wrote songs that helped her purge emotional baggage, and soon enough found that she could write about the underbelly of human existence beyond her own life. Her stories aren’t always pretty, but sometimes what is underneath is more interesting than the surface. Melissa Thatcher writes and sings intimate songs, stories that touch upon the inner workings of the soul.
Kumiko (Mary Jo Mundy)
Mary Jo is an accomplished cabaret singer who performs regularly at venues across Los Angeles. She has recorded several albums and has performed in numerous concerts and stage productions including singing backup for Barbra Streisand in her Timeless concert.
Old Woman (Pat Whiteman)
Pat Whiteman is a sought-after Los Angeles-based vocalist whose most recent show, “The Mood I’m In” was directed by Broadway and cabaret star Jason Graae and music directed by celebrated composer Michele Brourman. “Mood,” which Cabaret Scenes called “the perfect cabaret show,” has played to sold-out houses at Los Angeles’ Gardenia and Barre supper clubs and at New York's Metropolitan Room. Pat has also appeared in such shows as Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up? and Pump Boys & Dinettes, been a featured performer at benefits and corporate events and lent her voice to national and regional commercial jingles.
